The material
The kitchen back walls are made of a 3mm thick material called aluminium dibond, or alu-dibond. This is a strong but laborious material with a plastic core and an aluminum top layer.
The material is moisture resistant and can withstand heat. Be careful, at extremely high temperatures such as the flame on a gas stove, aluminum dibond can deform or discolor. So steam or heat from, for example, a kettle or pan should not come into direct contact with the aluminum dibond kitchen back wall.
The rear wall of aluminum dibond is provided with a coating. The special coating ensures more intense colors and provides extra protection to the surface. Because of the coating, the material is not damaged by environmental factors and can be wiped down with a cleaning agent.
Maintenance
Maintenance of the aluminum dibond back wall is simple. Use a (soft) cloth or brush and warm water to clean it after daily use. For intensive cleaning you can use a mild cleaning agent.
