Raissa is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Hamburg. During her design studies she discovered her passion for illustration—especially by experimenting with different techniques in the print workshop, something that still clearly shows in her work. Her style is characterized by vibrant colors, bold statements and an eye for detail.
Raissa draws her inspiration from nature and the animal kingdom, with their diverse shapes, textures and patterns that continue to fascinate her. Her background as a photographer has given her a strong affinity for faces and a trained eye for detail, causing people to often become the focal point of her illustrations. She strives to convey moods and messages that require no words.
With her feminist art prints, Raissa aims to challenge traditional portrayals of women in art. Her work presents strong, confident characters that emphasize the feminine—because to her those two are not opposites, but rather expressions of strength.
