This mixed media street artwork "carefree" shows two boys who run into the sea together. Their figures are simple silhouettes, which emphasize the purity of the moment.
The sea and the air run into each other in this way, creating a continuous horizon that suggests the vastness of the scene. Instead of a traditional seascape, the water and the air are composed of strips that look like old, weathered boatwood, with layers of peeling paint that reveal the wood underneath.
The texture of the wood gives the work an outdated appearance and refers to the passage of time and the stories that the sea carries with it.
